Hi! We’re Jess and Tyler — newlyweds, recent Master’s program graduates, and now proud honeymooners who spent an amazing week in Paris — all thanks to Ilja and Megan at Voyage Blue Travel.
After getting engaged, we started dreaming of a honeymoon that felt romantic, timeless, and unforgettable. Paris checked all the boxes. But between finishing our graduate programs and planning a wedding, our budget was stretched pretty thin. We weren’t sure how we’d make the trip happen without putting off our dreams or draining our savings.

Experiences Over Stuff
We chose to forgo the traditional gift registry and instead asked for contributions toward our honeymoon. Rather than receiving physical gifts, these contributions became part of the experiences we’ll cherish for a lifetime — making our celebration even more meaningful.
Our friends and family were able to gift us specific moments — like a sunset Seine River cruise, breakfast in a Parisian café, or tickets to the Louvre — through the beautiful, customized webpage that Voyage Blue Travel helped create.
We added the webpage to our wedding website and also shared it on social media, making it easy for loved ones near and far to support our honeymoon in a meaningful way.
Not Just for the Wedding
What surprised us most was how flexible the page was. Since it worked as a stand-alone site, we also used it for:
🎓 Graduation gifts — We shared the link with friends and family who wanted to celebrate our Master’s degrees. Instead of another notebook or coffee mug, we received contributions to our honeymoon!
🎄 Christmas gifts — We brought it back during the holidays by posting it on social media and including it in our holiday cards. It gave people a thoughtful, simple way to give — and every little bit added up.
Everyone loved the idea, and we were genuinely touched by how many people wanted to be part of our journey.
